26 different chord types can be played in a number of different harmony patterns – 4-part open and closed, 5-part open and closed, Jazz Brass, Orchestral String section, and many others. For example if a “C Major” chord is held in the left hand, a complete harmony style will play from single notes played by the right hand in C Major.
When ProChord is active, a single note played by the right hand will sound multiple notes – a melody or “lead” note and harmony or “fill” notes in several different styles, in response to notes or chords played by the left hand. “ProChord” is an exclusive Hammond feature allowing one player to replicate the effect of many instruments playing together in correct harmony, and create harmonic effects impossible to achieve when playing conventionally.
The Hammond Sk Series has the brilliant advantage of being able to hold a running library of “Extravoices” of your choice which enhance the Hammond Sound, and provide to be serious solo instruments when called upon.
